Mariani is partnered in Majestic Kelp by Robbie Scorer (drums) and Stuart Loasby (bass / organ). Together they recorded Underwater Casino in Perth's Undercroft and Loop Studios over a year ending late 2002 with mastering early 2003. Special guests abound as Majestic Kelp segue from red carpet to turquoise seas.

The disc opener, Roulette, sets the scene as it cuts through a swingin' crowd at Casino Royale to catch a glimpse of Link Wray jammin' with The Ventures. Morricone meets his maker on dusty highway to nowhere in Tremeloe Sun. Bootsy and Ravi mix it up on Indian N' Ocean where Indian summer meets the Summer of Love. The sun and the surf take over with the dreamy Golden Ones. The psychedelic fuzz guitar of Cherry Red keeps the night cats movin' while a low moon bathes forbidden lovers on the beach in the title track Underwater Casino.
